INTRODUCTION
=========================
We invite the top 30 cyclists of India for a once-in-a-lifetime ride from Delhi to Agra along the Yamuna Expressway — the same road where Indian Air Force jets once touched down.
HindAyan: Ride on for Health, Honour, and Heritage!
In 2023, the Uttar Pradesh government kindly gave the HindAyan ( हिंदायान) Foundation special permission to cycle from Delhi to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. The Delhi Police and UP Police supported the ride with a pilot vehicle and an escort team.
On February 5, 2023, six army cyclists, led by a Navy JCO, set off from the National War Memorial in New Delhi for an experimental ride to Agra. In just 7 hours and 4 minutes—including a one-hour break for breakfast and repairs—they covered an impressive 225.44 km. The road was smooth, flat, and straight, with cycling speeds reaching up to 67 km/h.
The trial was a success. From the following year, senior armed forces officers began leading the ride. In 2023, it was led by Lt Gen Anil Puri (Retd), and this year by Brigadier Rajiv.
For security reasons, participation is limited to 30 cyclists only.
