About Event
Ekal Run, an initiative of FTS Yuva Kolkata, the youth wing of Friends of Tribals Society (FTS)—is the flagship annual event dedicated to a noble cause: educating and empowering underprivileged rural and tribal children in remote parts of India. Launched
in 2019, the Ekal Run has rapidly grown in scale and impact, becoming a much-awaited community event in Kolkata and expanding to other cities such as Bengaluru, Surat, Indore, Gwalior, Assam, Dhanbad, and even internationally to Bangkok. Every year, thousands of
participants—including running groups, professionals, students, athletes, families, and fitness enthusiasts—come together not just for fitness, but for a purpose, to support the mission of FTS.
