Bangalore Ultra started in 2007 with 247 runners pounding the trail at Our Native Village (ONV) resort in Hessarghatta, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, which has since become the battle field where runners test their audacity every November. The race day is felt like a big family re-union with runners from different parts of the country and the world coming together to celebrate the joy, madness and the love called running. The participants can choose to run distances ranging from 25K – 100K. The run is on a trail which will leave your shoes pleading you to stop running.
The Ultra festival runs for two days this year, 8th Nov and 9th Nov 2014. – The 24-hour challenge, 100k, 75k and 50k will be flagged off on Saturday, 8th November, 2014. From the evening of the 8th to the wee hours of 9th November, heroes are made. 6am onwards on 9th November, the 25k and 12.5k are run.
